It is built using Teak, a tropical hardwood that requires no finishing and will not rot when left outdoors in the rain and sun. The fact that Teak grows in dry areas, and not in rain forests, makes it an environmentally friendly choice. Also, the Teak in this collection is "A-Grade” meaning the tree has to grow for at least 45 years before harvested—allowing the natural oil to spread to all parts of the wood, making sure nothing can be penetrated into it.
